Made for mixed use

A battery, magnetic mounting and wireless charging are in the plan. Twelve-hour mixed use is the target, with measurements still ahead.

What exactly is MOB?+

MOB is a personal AI computer in development. The design puts a local language model, speech, memory, browser and command tools inside a pocket device. Voice is the main input; an iPhone app handles setup, review and permissions.

Why carry another device?+

The idea is to give your AI an independent computer and physical controls that stay with you. That has to be useful enough to earn a place beside your phone. We plan to compare the same tasks with phone and desktop apps before committing to custom production.

Does the AI run inside it?+

That is the intended architecture. Local inference and speech still need to be benchmarked on the selected hardware. Web research and remote-device tasks need Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot. There is no cellular modem in the current baseline.

Can MOB control all my devices and programs?+

Only devices you enroll, with a supported API, SSH connection or companion adapter and the necessary operating-system permissions. Tailscale supplies the network connection. It does not unlock every app. iOS actions are limited to supported integrations.

Will it answer my calls?+

Bluetooth call assistance is part of the vision. It remains a development target: we need to prove full-duplex audio, echo control, iPhone routing and reliable human takeover. Universal call coverage is not established.

How will battery and charging work?+

Twelve hours of mixed use is a target, not a measured result. USB-C is the primary charging and sustained-power path. Magnetic mounting and wireless charging are being evaluated. No MagSafe or Qi2 certification is claimed.

Can I buy or back MOB now?+

No. We are at concept and feasibility stage, with no validated integrated hardware prototype. Joining the list is free. Price, shipping dates and a Kickstarter campaign will follow prototype and production evidence.
